Q: Do you have general event guidelines?
A: Yes, we do! Click here to see our event guidelines.
Q: What’s the deal with the name KennyCon?
A: You can read the whole story of how KennyCon came to be (and to be named) here.
Q: What are the hours/schedule?
A: Doors open at noon, and we’ll wrap up by 10pm. Click here to see the schedule of the day.
Q: What are our options for dinner?
A: We are excited to announce that a pizza dinner will be provided at no charge for all of our registrants. One of our very own, Jacob Yingling, a financial advisor with Edward Jones, is sponsoring our dinner! (No sales meeting attendance required!)
Q: Will there be food available for purchase at KennyCon?
A: Yes. There will be limited snacks available for purchase throughout the day. Around 6pm we’ll be ordering pizza for anyone that would like to participate.
Q: Do I have to pre-register to attend?
A: You do not. But it would help us make sure we have plenty of tables, chairs, drinks, and snacks available for your enjoyment.
Q: Where will KennyCon take place?
A: KennyCon ’24 will take place in the multi-purpose building of West Cobb Church (1245 Villa Rica Rd, Marietta, GA 30064)
Q: Is this a family friendly event?
A: Absolutely! Everyone should expect a fun time, and a friendly atmosphere.
Q: Is there a minimum age?
A: Kids that are old enough to play hobbyist type board games are welcome to participate (10 years and up is a good range). We do ask that kids under 16 not be left to their own devices (i.e., must be accompanied by an adult).
Q: What games will be in the game library?
A: A list of some of the games available can be found here.
Q: Is KennyCon sponsored by West Cobb Church?
A: No, we are simply using their multi-purpose facility to host the event.
Q: Do I need to bring my own games?
A: You can if you want, but we’ll have 150+ games available for play in the game library. Click here to see a list of some of the games that will be available.
Q: Will there be prizes and such?
A: There will be door prizes!! And such.
Q: Will people be playing Settlers of Catan?
A: I hope not…just kidding. People are welcome to play all the Catan that they want. Though I’d probably recommend not playing Cards Against Humanity at a family friendly event.
Q: Do I have to be there all day to participate?
A: Not at all! Come and go as you like.
